Radio City 91.1 FM, one of the famous radio in India has launched a new website called RadioRocks.in. The goal behind this website is to provide a one-stop knowledge bank on FM radio in India. E.g. Mumbains listen 1.72 hours of FM radio daily, Delhites listen FM radio 2.24 hours/day and Bangaloreans listen FM radio 3.4 hours/day.
In addition to featuring documented research on the burgeoning radio sector and comprehensive data from recognised sources, the website also captures the effectiveness of radio through a series of case studies, which go to show how radio has worked for brands and, most importantly, how radio has been able to meet the advertiser’s communication objectives.
None of the FM radio stations in India are streaming their radio stations online. If Radio City or Radio Mirchi or Big FM radios goes online, not only they will get more listeners but their advertisers can also get the best value for the buck. I think Indian FM players should seriously think about provide their radios online.
