Indian reality Shows are catching up fires. Indian Idol was one of the few first ones. And now we have so many reality shows, Big Brother, Cricket Star, Deal ya no deal and soon there will be Soccer Star and Bigest Looser - Jeetaga

But what I dont like about this reality shows are voting system. It is basically focused only for indian viewers. Only Indian viewers can vote using SMS. What about viewers abroard ? And because of this SMS voting, loosers like Sandeep (Indian Idol 2) wins the game. Everybody knows that Karunya was the best but because of this SMS lobby, people from Rajasthan made Sandeep win the Indian Idol 2.

And now who knows what is he doing? But what I know is Karunya got to sing in two big movies like Lage Raho Munna Bhai.

 

Television first came to India [named as ‘Doordarshan’ (DD) on Sept 15, 1959 as the National Television Network of India. The first telecast started on Sept 15, 1959 in New Delhi. After a gap of about 13 years, s second television station was established in Mumbai (Maharashtra) in 1972 and by 1975 there were five more television stations at Srinagar (Kashmir), Amritsar (Punjab), Calcutta (West Bengal), Madras (Tamil Nadu) and Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh). A few years later CNN, Discovery Channel, National Geographic Channel made its foray into India. Star expanded its bouquet introducing STAR World, STAR Sports, ESPN and STAR Gold.

 

The Bollywood hottie has beaten the likes of Lindsay Lohan and Aishwarya Rai on web search.

 

As I mentioned that in my previous post "Shilpa Among top 15 queries", India has reason to be proud of Shilpa Shetty once again. The bad press that her 'kiss-episode' with Hollywood's Richard Gere generated has only made the Bollywood hottie a force to reckon with on the international marquee. Shilpa has beaten international celebrities like Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie, Eva Longoria, and back home even Aishwarya Rai, to become the uncrowned queen of the cyber universe.

 

As of today, she's the number one actor on a leading international search engine while she ranks number two in the overall search, second only to American Idol. On the IMDB website, the actress is at number 21, having moved up 23,261 per cent within a week.

 

 

 

Its funny when you see some discussions like this. Today I just stumble upon this wikipedia article where there is a big fight going on between the user who wrote the article and the admin(may be) of wikipedia.

 

So out of curiosity I found out more details about this "discussion". Apparently when you go to WikiPedia.org and find out the "Preity Zinta" page, you will see a message saying

On that page if you click on a discussion tab, you will see a "Debate" going on for preity zinta. Few topics that are being discussed

The big day has finally arrived and the bride Ash and groom Abhi are contented and happy to tie the knot. The festivities began on 18 April and will culminate with the wedding on 20 April. There was revelry and celebration bollywood style for the sangeet, mehndi and now for the wedding too. Only a select few like Ajay Devgan, Kajol, Sanjay Dutt, Preity Zinta, Suniel Shetty, Sonali Bendre etc from bollywood were invited for this happy but private occasion. The media and crazy fans were kept at bay. However no one could exclude themselves from this joyous occasion and fans from all over the city trooped in to catch a glimpse of Ash, Abhi and other bollywood celebs.

The sangeet was complete bollywood style with both the Rais and Bachchans as well as their friends putting up dance performances. The highlight of the sangeet was a dance performance put up by Ash-Abhi and another dance performance by Amitabh-Jaya. There was plenty of laughter, food and happiness all around the couple.

Shilpa Shetty was kissed several times by Richard Gere during an AIDS-awareness event.The pair had appeared at a press conference in New Delhi as part of a campaign to preach safe sex to truck drivers in India, the country with the world's largest number of HIV sufferers.However, following the kiss, members of the right-wing Hindu nationalist group Shiv Sena beat burning effigies of Gere with sticks.However, most people preferred to set fire to the glamorous shots of Shetty. Shilpa: "I know it is a trivial issue. Somebody is trying to do something for your country and you are treating him so badly."

 

Shilpa Shetty is outraged by the Hindu rightwing Shiv Shena's violent reaction to her striking a "dancing pose" with Hollywood superstar Richard Gere and says they were overreacting to an absolutely trivial issue. 

 

You must be surprised after reading this title "Aishwarya Rai, Sania Mirza, Katrina Kaif, Indian Railways and NDTV" what the hell does that mean? Well these names (keywords) are few of the top 15 google queries from India.

I was shocked when I started monitoring the top indian google queries and I am sure you would be surprised too.

Well for the past six months, I have been monitoring Google Indian queries and guess what I found out? Few names are coming in top 15 for the last six months  consistently.

The winner is "Aishwarya Rai, Sania Mirza & Katrina Kaif". Among these three ladies, the first one is Sania Mirza.
