India has about 30 million diabetic patients, of off which 95% people have type 2 diabetes. India would have around 57 million diabetic patients by the year 2025, according to a World Health Organization (WHO) study, Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI).

Being a diabetic patient, its difficult to track your blood glucose levels, making sense of the numbers and sharing all these important data with doctors. To help make these things easy, a 24 year old computer engineer launched a website which provides features to track your sugar levels and create reports in visual formats.

SugarStats.com which opened to the public few days back offers web-based system to record and track glucose levels and medications usage, food/carb intake and exercise and activity levels. These information is really important in controlling the diabetes.

SugarStats.com" aims to address that lack through a "simple, uncluttered interface that allows people to see exactly what changes they need to make in order to have a healthier life," said Alfred, who teamed with his parents, Daerick and Nedrra Lanakila, to create SugarStats.com". (Medical News Today)

The site provides two plans, Free and Premium. Free includes basic glucose, medication tracking & graphs while the Premium account includes few more features for tracking food/carb and physical activities.

If you're serious about taking control of your diabetes and improving your health you need to keep track of just Sugar Readings and Medication. You need to take into account many other elements that directly effect your blood glucose such as the foods you eat (Carb tracking) and physical activity.
