Government schools in Punjab will have plasma screens, LCD projectors and other hi-tech equipments by mid-2008.
Schools will have plasma screens in classrooms interconnected and centralized with the principal's office from this academic session. The concept has been envisaged for schools, which have classrooms equipped with LCD projectors. E-learning will be encouraged in such schools.
I wish they had something like these back when I was in school. We had to fight with our school management to get us computers so that we can learn computers. That was back in early 90s. The funny thing is, we were assigned only one day per month for computer labs. The computer room was fully air conditioned and we were actually not allowed to touch the computer without having a teacher nearby.
