GigaOm reports that Reliance Communications is planning to give away free netbooks (mini laptops) with their Wireless Internet Service NetConnect's two year contract.
Netbook is referred to as small to medium sized, light-weight, low-cost, energy-efficient, Internet-centric laptops. Reliance has tied up with Intel, Acer, Asus, HCL and Lenovo to provide this free netbook give away offer. Apparently, the two year contact include Rs. 1,500/month to get the wireless internet. So basically you will pay Rs. 1,500 * 24 = 36,000 at the end of two year contact.
So what do you think? Is it a good deal to pay Rs. 36,000 for the laptop & internet access for two years? Would you be willing to grab this deal?
