So today is a big day for Reliance as they have entered into Directo To Home (DTH) service by launching their BigTV. Big TV will have a bouquet of 202 channels for customers across India. So now we have lot of DTH service players in India. Dish TV being the No. 1 (according to our poll here), Tata Sky, Sun Direct and DD's direct plus.
Big TV service will start at Rs. 1,490 and will include three months subscriptions and one can get this subscription from 100,000 outlets in 6,500 towns in the country. The group has also set up a customer service cell that can handle over 50,000 calls a day.
I tried to visit Reliance BigTV's website bigtv.co.in and when I clicked on the launch offer, the site timed out. Looks like the site is not ready for the prime time. WebIndia reports the launch offer is priced at Rs. 1,490 but their website reports the launch offer priced at Rs. 2,490.
As the site is down, I wasn't able to find different offers and packages. I will be updating this information soon.Come on Reliance Folks.. wake up and fix your website issue..
