Making VOIP calls worldwide are now so common. Lot of startups now offer VOIP calls to many countries including USA and Canada. I am not sure how the telecom structure in USA and Canada but VOIP providers can afford to give free calls to many countries. I previously wrote about a company called Free Phone Line (FreePhoneLine.ca which gives you free Canada number and allows you to make free calls within Canada.

Now here are two more websites which allows you to make Free calls to USA & Canada. So if you have any relatives/friends/family down there, you can enjoy these services. These startups are basically a PC to landline/mobile services.

iCall.com - All phone calls that you make to the USA and Canada are completely free, all calls that you receive are completely free regardless of where the caller is located. As well, all calls between iCall users are free. There is a small application that you can download on your computer which allows you to make (to USA and Canada) and receive free calls. If you are in New York, you can make and receive absolutely free calls. I tried this service and looks like the call is limited to 5 minutes. But you can call the same number again. 

MediaRingTalk.com - This site has just introduced a promotional offer which allows you to make free calls to total 8 countries including USA and Canada. The offer will expire on January 31st 2008, so you better hurry up as you have only 1.5 week left. This is also a VOIP service where you need to download a software on your computer which will allows you to make free calls to any landline or mobile in USA or Canada. There is a time limit for the call. Each call is limited to 10 minutes. However, there are no restrictions on calling the same destination multiple times.
