Tata Consultancy Services website has been hacked today, and posted as “For Sale” in its home page. It points out prospective domain name buyer with his contact email address.
The hacking has taken the top Indian Tech Company’s by surprise that hackers could easily hack into one of the most secure websites in India.
The Internet Protocol (IP) address of TCS's website is 216.15.200.140. However, the hackers changed it to 205.178.152.154, re-pointing the name server (NS) records of the company's website which may have been done by breaking into the NS or the registrar account, said a cyber-security expert.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has restored its Web site tcs.com.
TCS is one of the India’s Top software and consulting company, and they are the largest provider of information technology and business process outsourcing services in India.
The techies say that the hack is believed to be a DNS redirect and similar to Twitter hack that rocked last year.
