Internet is not only World Wide Web anymore. Internet has grown into different fields. It has reached to shopping malls, business buyouts, money transfers and people's bedroom via internet television.
You can not under estimate the power of Internet. Back in March in Canada, a quick-thinking motorist with a digital camera snapped several pictures of a hit-and-run collision and published it on one of the forum (Beyond.ca, a forum for car enthusiasts) that he was subsribed to.
The guy who took pictures urged the visitors to locate the car who hit and ran away. The photographs created a flurry of activity and received about 100,000 hits. This thing brought police attention and finally they nab a suspect.
Similarly I wrote an article few months back about one guy's fight against BSNL. The poor guy started a website to reach to thousands of people about his harassment from BSNL.
And today I saw another case where someone needs justice for the false promises made by Times Of India.
Ankit from New Delhi placed couple of orders worth of around Rs. 8000. He spotted some 15% cash back rewards offer on India Times Shopping website. He followed the terms and conditions and found out that he was eligible for the cash back rewards.
The guy contacted TOI for this matter and no body responded and finally he use the internet power to reach to thousands of people in search for justice and wrote an article on his blog.
I would always like to help such people and make my website a medium to reach to hundreds if not thousands of people.
