Finally Twitter has unveiled its automatic shorten URL service, which allows users to paste a URL of any length. Last year, Twitter introduced Shorten URL service to help users to short the link for websites (third parties). It aims not to defer the limit of 140 characters limit. Till now it only used as third party URL services.

Twitter's official Statement

“After you've composed your Tweet and you hit the "Tweet" button, we'll shorten the link so that it only takes up 19 characters…You no longer have to worry about fitting a long link into the 140 character limit.”

Once you enter 13 characters of a URL, the user will automatically prompted that the URL will be shortened as customized and even after the 140-character limit is reached, users can post &  insert URL text. Customized service offers Tweet Button t.co link, as it appears shortened & recognized. Users can easily locate the link & read the look.

Dangerous links & defected URLs were the reasons behind sudden rollout. Now Twitter will also check any inserted URL from database of sites, and, if detected, warn the user regarding required step. Service will be available across the globe very soon.
