Facebook World’s No.1 Social Networking site shares some auspicious moments in the United States. Since it is not the most visited sites in the US but also most conventional social media channel in America. According to an upcoming study, more than half of US adults use online social networking service Facebook.

News is not really surprising but facts & figures may be illustrative because Facebook is one of the fastest growing Social Media networks in the entire American Continent. If we go along with upcoming survey, then it means Facebook growth is tremendous & simple stimulating.

AFP News reports, Edison Research and Arbitron Inc. is going to release a fresh social report on April 5th which finds that 51 per cent of US residents age 12 or older have profiles set up at Facebook. As per as Facebook terms & conditions, user require to be at least 13 years old to be members of the online community, which possess more than a half-billion users.

"We have been tracking the growth of Facebook since 2008, and have watched it go from eight percent usage just three years ago, to 51 per cent today," New Jersey-based Edison said in a release. (Courtesy: TOI)

Firm current findings are based on a January survey of 2,020 people. Study findings offered in a webcast session will comprise the popularity of accessing social networks using mobile phones, quoted by Edison.

In April 2010 Social Media Today estimated 41.6% of the U.S. population had a Facebook account. Today Facebook is the most popular social networking site in several English-speaking countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States & Asia Pacific. In regional Internet markets, Facebook infiltration is highest in North America (69 percent), followed by Middle East-Africa (67 percent), Latin America (58 percent), Europe (57 percent), and Asia-Pacific (17 percent).
