The current valuation of Facebook is comparatively 30 percent more than it’s valuation in January. It simply means the growth of Social Networking giant is on sky & above the limits as expected by the market.

News Sources associated with CNBC reveal, a small firm named General Atlantic was earlier in the processed to acquire nearly 0.1 percent stake in Facebook by acquiring 2.5 million shares from company’s ex-employees. Even thou that transactions were not yet finalized because of Facebook’s board disapproval. To acquire stake in Facebook, firm needs to get approval first from Facebook board.

Previously Facebook declared about $ 1.5 billion investment frame by Goldman Sachs & Digital Sky Technologies and now company’s assessment gone above $ 50 billion.

Zuckerberg has the highest stake in Facebook. Other major stake holders include Russian DST and Accel Partners. Both have a stake of 10% in Facebook, now valued to $6.5 billion. Facebook's early employees also have major stake. Co-founder Dustin Moskovitz and Eduardo Saverin have stake of 6% and 5% respectively.
