India's parliament shut down its business at 2:30, right before the match. Mumbai's taxi drivers took day off, factories and employers kept large screens to keep the employee working, and the Mohali airport had to manage extra space for 50 or so private charter planes. The game was so intense that a popular Pakistani comedian died of heart attack while performing at a special TV programme organised for the electrifying Indo-Pak World Cup semi-final clash
So what was it like to be on the streets during this India Pakistan World Cup 2011 Semi finals? Well, The shops were empty; buses were empty; malls were empty; theatres were empty; streets were empty. On that extraordinary, uncommon, unusual evening, - between 6.30 p.m. and 8.00 p.m someone.took a visit along some of the EVER CROWDY streets of Chennai like Usman road, Ranganathan street, Panagal park, Mount road, Nungambakkam High road, Kodambakkam high road and captured the EMPTINESS!!!. Check out the pics below..
