How To Add Jumplist For Your Blog For IE 9
Some of the features are better support for HTML 5, better search and the best thing about IE 9 is its feature to integrate with Windows 7. IE 9 allows you to attach your favorite sites to the pin bar. Once its pinned, you can quickly zip through site's jumplist. So what is jumplist and how you can enable that for your blog?
Jumplist is just like "Quick Links" that you see for the site during the google search. Check out the image below. Imagine that these are the links that you want to highlight for your blog/website. You can add those links as a jumplist for your blog to leverage the IE9 capabilities.

The first meta tag has 2 attributes, name and content. The name attribute should have the value “application-name” the content attribute should contain the name of the website as you want it to appear on the JumpList.
For each task you would like on the JumpList you need to add a meta tag. I have added 3 tasks: Archive, LinkedIn and Twitter.
Each meta tag will need 2 attributes. The name attribute and the content attribute.
The name attribute needs to contain the value “msapplication-task”.
In the content attribute you need to add a string value in the following format: “name={NAMEVALUEHERE};action-uri={ACTIONURLVALUE};icon-uri={ICONURLVALUE}”
