Those of you who know about AddThis, is a social bookmarking widget that allows you to bookmark a page or a site on different social networking sites as well as bookmarking sites. AddThis mostly covers bookmarking sites like digg.com, reddit.com, netvibes etc. After all these bookmarking book, we have lot of Indian clones for bookmarking sites such as IndianPad, NewsCola, HumSurfer and more.

So if you want to promote your site or a page to Indian bookmarking sites, here is an option for you. PrachaarThis.com. PrachaarThis is a clone to AddThis but it gives you an Indian flavor. You can show the widget in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. Check out the screenshot below. Its a good initiative as India doesn't have such widgets specially in Indian Languages. 

Looks like PrachaarThis is using Amazon web services. What I would like to be added to PrachaarThis is statistics. If they allow users to have their own ID and once they login to their PrachaarThis account, they can see the statistics of bookmarking just like they provide it in AddThis.com.

As there is a global move to adopt Indian languages, I can see more and more sites and blogs coming up in Indian languages. PrachaarThis widget would be a great addon to your Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada blogs on WordPress or Blogger or TypePad.
