Just recently I was talking to my brother in law and we had a discussion about Orkut and he promptly replied with the code word "Chirkut". I was confused first and then realised that he was referring Orkut as Chirkut (often used to praise a person for being loser, stupid and dullard). Later I found out that there is already chirkut.co.in available.

If you love orkut and love scrapping friends, beware that there is a worm named ScrapKut out there which may end up sending malicious mails from your login to anyone. 

Initially, a malicious scrap is posted to the victim’s scrapbook, containing a link to what appears to be a YouTube video. When a victim clicks on the link, they are redirected to an external site which prompts them to download the file “flashx_player_9.8.0.exe”.

Symantec has issued a detail information about this virus which is worth a read.

Stay alert and do not click on any youtube video link in Okrut.
