Comparing Indian Online Photo Printing Services

PoorBest

Online photo printing market in India is getting crowded day by day. Up until last year, we have hardly couple of websites that were offering online photo sharing and printing services. But now we have almost like a dozen sites that provides you online photo print services. I wrote about Online Photo Printing and Sharing in India here probably 5-6 months ago.

Now We have few more players in the market and I thought of comparing the services and features for this online photo print services in India. The sites that I have picked up for the comparision are based on what I found out from different sources. If you are running such website/business and would like to include your site in the comparison chart, please drop me an email. Again this comparison is based on what I found out from their websites, if I have missed something or if you would like to point out a thing or two, you can contact me or comment here.

PicSquare.com - Picsquare can be used to store, view, and share photos. Picsquare utilizes a java based file uploader so that multiple files can be uploaded at once. Uploaded photos can be tagged and shared on per tag basis. Storage policy is pretty relaxed right now with no limitations on data storage. Photo prints can be ordered in different sizes and print finish. Users can also create personalized greeting cards, which can be delivered anywhere in India.

iTasveer.com - iTasveer, read it as “i Tasveer“.  Tasveer (तस्वीर in Hindi)” means “Photo”. Dont know what "i" stands for. May be India ?? iTasveer supports uploading full resolution images to the site as albums and print the chosen sets. You can also share your albums in full resolution, allowing others to print your photos as well (Optional).

MeraSnap.com - I don't have much information except the similar features provided by other players. What I liked about MeraSnap is that they have standard shipping rate for any number of prints you order. One shipping rate for all. While PicSquare and iTasveer have integrated Picasa/Flickr interfaces, MeraSnap should also think about providing such integration to the users.

PhotoSwift.com - Recently launched website with similar features and functionality. Online photo sharing, printing services all across India. What I didn't like about the website is the lack of information provided to the user. To see the prices, you need to register. Information like prices should be available to user without registering to their site.

SnapFish India (Snapfish.co.in) - SnapFish is is one of the pioneers in this area and one of the first site to operate this model in the US.It has since been  aquired by HP. SnapFish launched its Indian operations couple of months back. Being an HP company its easy to trust their services. I personally used the service and I was satisfied with their services. I have seen people complaining about their customer service here there but nothing subtle that can hold me to use their service.

Feel free to comment.

If you print out your favorite photo and love it so much you want to share it with friends.  Consider putting it on  personalized water bottles to keep forever.  With so many promotional products available you can share your love of your picture in new and exciting ways.

    hi there.
I'd like to get my pictures developed in India and shipped to Canada. So far I haven't found any sites that will ship overseas. Can anyone help me with this. The Indian prices are about 1/4 the cost of getting pictures developed here.
    Thanks

    Digital Photo Printing Service
An amazing blog! There are many photo book printing services available in the market and the paper that they use depends upon the requirement of the user. The printing is usually done on glossy paper and the printers that are used are different from the regular ones. There are many ways in which print is affected and the professional digital photo printers make sure that they are printed in such a way that there is no impact on the final print of the photo. A few days back I was searching for photo book printing on the web I came across a new website http://www.smilestopphotobooks.com/index.htm that deals with digital photo book printing at the best prices, the service also allows you to add your own backgrounds and colors to the albums.

I had tried many sites. Among them zoomin.com & PrintBucket.com are fantastic. PrintBucket gives excellent service, & their packing is wonderful, same is the case with zoomin. All the best to all of them.

Sendmyfoto.com offers the lowest prices for all sized prints

    http://www.sendmyfoto.com/app/forms/preauth/ prices.aspx

At http://www.sendmyfoto.com , you can mix Mat prints and Gloss Prints.

You can print from your favourite albums like Facebook Flickr and Picasa.

Their delivery rates are the lowest and beat any one on quality and service. I just ordered a couple of prints and sendmyfoto makes it world class Quality.

    Nice review.

Just wanted to point out a few misses..

Photoswift does show the prices in the FAQ section. You do not have to login for that. The link is at the bottom of the page.
They have also integrated with PICASA. I have used this site to print some photos from my PIcasa album. NICE.

    Yo Cheers.

You can add www.gkvale.com to the list. It's an old firm operating a chain of camera/ printing stores in Bangalore and they've come up with an online version as well. One useful feature - other than courier deliveries they provide instore pickups from the GK Vale in your area, so you save postage - of course it helps if you're in Bangalore :)
