MTNL Saral Sandesh - Multilingual SMS
I don't know if this was missed by me or wasn't released in press before but looks like this service went live back in June. MTNL launched Multilingual SMS ( branded as SARAL SANDESH ) in association with M/s Geneva software technologies Ltd for Dolphin & Trump mobile subscribers. The multilingual SMS software is an application which when downloaded enables the subscriber to send SMS in about 11 Indian languages like Hindi, Marathi, Gujrati etc. This service will be a great help to subscribers who find it strenuous to compose SMS in English language.
Presently the application is available for selected handsets only. The list of supported handset is available in MTNL website, VAS section. GPRS service is not required to send SMS. It is required only to download the application.
To send SMS: Re.1/SMS for local as well as national. Reception of multilingual SMS is FREE.
How to get/download Saral Sandesh SMS application?
You can download it either from MTNL Wap site from your GPRS enabled phone or SMS ‘GMS’ to 56199. You will receive a WAP URL. Go to this site and download the application.
