The story is about Mr Anand Rajaraman, Venky Harinarayan, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Anand and Venky started their first company Junglee in 1996 while they were doing their PhD @ Standford. Sergey and Anand were friends had same PhD advisor and occupied adjacent cubicles. In 1998 Sergey and Larry offered Anand & Venky to sell Google for a million dollar. Being a student and not having enough funds, they couldn't buy Google and turned down the offer.
The startup by Anand & Venky, Junglee.com was acquired by Amazon in 1999. Anand got amazon's support and put $300 million offer to Larry & Sergey for Google but now Google was getting popular and Larry & Sergey asked for $1 billion. So again Anand couldn't buy it. If this would have happened, it would have been a different story about Google all together.
