Generally a meteor shower is a phenomenon taking place in the sky , when a debris left behind a passing comet gets pulled by the earth’s gravitational force and falls as a long bright tailed showers which is visible to our naked eyes.

Exhibition of celestial fireworks in the sky will be lit up by Geminid meteor showers , which is expected to peak on Monday.The shower radiation which appears to be originating from the sky is the constellation Gemini. It usually rises above the eastern horizon after 9 p.m. , so the astronomers suggested the observers to look into the sky between 10 p.m to 5 a.m. for clear view.

 

The Gemenids are unhurried meteors which forms a long stunning arc across the sky for a second or two. They mostly occur during winter season and closely to holiday season which makes them to be over looked historically.They have the ability to penetrate deeper into Earth’s atmosphere and burn up at much lower altitudes. Thanks to the Geminids’ rising intensity over the past years.
