There are many VoIP applications for iPhone but Google Android for mobile is fairly new operating system and the VoIP clients for your Google Android phones are limited. One of the most popular Google Android VoIP client is SIPdroid. The application is public beta stage. Sipdorid Adds VoIP to the dialer. Make and receive calls over Wifi/3G with perfect voice quality. For full compatibility register with PBXes and your favourite SIP accounts from there. Basic accounts are free.
Apparently there is a recent controversy about the Sipdroid and Gizmo5.
Gizmo5 recently launched an application for Google Android powered mobiles called "Guava". They haven't declared it on their home page about it though but visiting www.gizmo5.com/guava will take you to a page where you can download the application for your android phone.
According to Sipdroid, Gizmo5 used Sipdroid's code, kept the same package name as (org.sipdroid.sipua..), modified some parts of the application, removed the copyright notices and signed up with different developer key under Google android marketplace. They have published the package without notifying Sipdroid and according to Sipdroid, GUAVA stands for Google Unauthorized Android Voice Access.

So what's the truth? I haven't seen Gizmo5 jumping into developing their applications for the newer smartphones. I personally love Gizmo5 for their service but they lack in the initiative for bringing their applications to newer platforms. I missed Gizmo5 client in Windows Mobile phone and now that I have switched to WebOS, I doubt if they will be releasing their Gizmo5 client for Palm Pre either.
