Last week I wrote about a new service called "1-800-Free-411" that allows you to make free calls to the world. Its a free service that allows you to make free international calls just by dialing 1-800-free-411. So I tried the service and it was great. It was completely free and the call quality was great too. As it feels too good to be true, I thought it might be a short period promotion and to make sure the availability, I contacted John Roswech, President of Jingle Network (which is the parent company of 1-800-free-411). So here are some Q & A

 

1.       Is it an introductory service or it will stay for a while?

At this point, it’s a permanent feature.  1-800-FREE411 offered free calls on Valentine’s Day this year which had a great response so the company  decided to make it a permanent feature.

2.       How do you support the free calls? By the audio advertisements or do you have anything else in the pipeline?

Free calls and free 411 are both supported by in-call advertisements.

3.       Is it valid for any country in the world or are there any limitations?

There are a few limitations – I’ve pasted a list below of all the countries that can be reached.

4.       What’s the goal of providing this free calls service?

Services like this keep regular customers happy – and it helps drive call volume, which the advertisers really like

So looks like making free calls to India or world is a permanent feature and you can use it to stay in touch with your family for completely free.
