If you have used Stumble Upon, you would know how easy it is to get thousands of visitors to your site in just few minutes. Stumble Upon is also very useful to discover interesting topics and interesting websites from the wild wild web. It is another story that I never had a chance to have a juicy traffic of Stumble Upon.

Stumble Upon has now release a new URL Shortner service but it is different from other URL Shortner service.

 

Su.pr gives each shortened URL the potential for greatness. URLs can be seeded not only to Twitter and Facebook, but also into StumbleUpon's content pool where they can be discovered and promoted by its users. Su.pr brings the promise of a longtail from your link showing up as a related item.

 

Su.pr's stats tracking tools shows you how many times your link has been re-tweeted on Twitter, and given a rated review on StumbleUpon. It also breaks down traffic sources into the people who click on the link and from outside of StumbleUpon.organic traffic from the site.

The service will also let publishers use the shortening service such that it will yourdomain/XXX.  Each URL you link to is automatically shortened. It does this while maintaining a special domain re-direct that allows search engines to pick up on those source links, even though they've been shortened.

It still in private beta and can be accessed via an invitation. Still waiting for one..
