Information Madness

If you are not aware of this, Google launched its "My Profile" feature sometime last year or so. Its a page where you can write about your self, your hobbies, interests etc.

Now Google Profiles lets you choose your own URL cap instead of a number string.

You can choose google.com/profiles/<your_own_name>

 

It makes your profile easier to find and send out as a link, while still retaining the selective info sharing the Profiles were set up to facilitate.
