Picasa, Google's online photo album has just released its latest features globally. The new features include effortless sync, movie editing, photo-retouching capabilities, adding name tags, face recognition etc. These features were available to users from US till now but now these latest features are available for all the users across the world.

One feature that caught my eye was automatic translation of comments made to your Picasa web album photographs. If your language is set to "Hindi" and if someone comments to your photo in Chinese, you will see an automated translation of that chinese comment in Hindi. So basically all the comments from different languages will be automatically translated into your language.

 

Isn't that cool? That was really thoughtful. Google surely helps to break the language barrier between people from different countries communicating with each other..

So next time when you want to comment on your friend's Picasa photo album, try to comment in other language and see what happens.
