MouthShut.com Launches Reviews by SMS

Mouthshut.com, an online review site (Probably India's only review site) has launched a new feature where users can submit their reviews/views/comments via SMS using their mobile. So you you are in a store and have a good or bad experience, your voice is just one SMS away from being heard by thousands.

You simply send an SMS to 56767. The first two characters in your message should be MS followed by your review. Your message will instantly appear on MouthShut homepage. To use this service, you will have to create an account with Mouthshut and register your mobile number in your settings page.

So when you post your review via SMS, it gets published on the homepage as "+9198532xxxxx(0 hrs 4 mins ago) by xxx". I am not sure why MouthShut needs to show even the first 7 numbers of your mobile? They can simply show user's profile name instead of the number. Overall, its a good feature to let people post their voices about service/product/company.

I am a big fan of MouthShut.com. It is the only Indian site which changes its logo to reflect the event/holiday/celebration. They have always tried new things. I remember during my Mumbai visit, I saw MouthShut.com advertisement on the back of an Autorickshaw. That was quite innovative. Check out the picture below.

proton business school is good for mba ? how about previous banch plancement pls commnet on this ..if any one know about this college than pls tell ? i want to take admission in proton indore is this write decision ?

hakoon bhai, i think you are a paid member and that's why you will lick their ass which you do also in MS, this will be the biggest joke for 100 years that MS management has integrity! Do you know Mr. Faisal is better know as Peeping Tom of Indian Dot Com Industry? Because he and Jasmine reads every M2M that you and I send! I think by now everyone knows what is their SMS blog doing... there is no review in mouthshut, it is just a SNS with few loyal members like you, a lot of fake members and web passers by, the credibility of MS is negative, read blogs in Aolotechie where Maruti Udyog caught them red handed cheating the click rates... do you know some of the regular member are also coerced by the management to quit some competitor's site? so please don't tell about integrity of MS management, no one would buy that dear :) take care and get well soon!

I have been an active member of this site for over 2 years now. I find the above 3 comments / accusations baseless and hence had to comment here.
I am not a fan of few of their features, but I vouch for the integrity of their management.

There was a time when I myself liked Moutshut Of late Mouthshut's credibility itself is under a cloud. It censors or deletes genuine reviews from its site on orders of corporates it has tied up, with for money of course. They spam in US and UK promising money in exchange for points earned on reviews. They never pay but if reviwer complains loud enough, they disable the reviewer's login id. Now the reviewer cannot erase his review and mouthshut gets to keep it for free. User profiles are disabled or deleted at the whim and fancy of the CEO and staff without prior notice or consent. Messages sent using their internal messaging system M2M is heavily censored. Mobile reviews won't be any different.
