Well today is a good day for me. I was just checking my regular site logs and found out that there were few hits from Times Of India ePaper. So I thought of visiting the URL and to my surprise, I found out that Time Of India has published an article "Finding your place in the World" and it has mentioned "Information Madness" website in it for my "Mumbai Metro Google Mashup".
Few months back, I was playing around with Google Maps APIs and wanted to do something about Indian Maps. Initially Google maps didn't have Indian city maps and thats why I was not able to create any mashups. But back in February Google made Indian city maps available for its Map APIs.
So just to give it a try, I thought of creating a Mumbai Metro Mashup where I plotted mumbai trains with color coded lines on the google maps. I could have done more to this map but because of lack of time !!!. Well this motivates me to do more now. Stay tuned with Information Madness for some cool stuff.
It was being published by Google Maps Mania back in April. And now Times of India has recognized it and published it in its article.
