The MCC company formed with a seed capital of INR 50 Crores plans to set up 50 outlets in the next 4 years. The first two outlets will come up in Bangalore and Ahmedabad in July while a total of 10 will be functional by end of this fiscal. Manipal Cure and Care is also planning to launch outlets in NCR, Bombay, Pune, Hyderabad to name a few in current year. I am surprised though that how come their one of the first two stores would be in Ahmedabad. I think Ahmedabad is attracting lot of business now a days. Couple of weeks back I wrote about Provouge store in Ahmedabad.
Manipal Cure and Care has tied up with Oscar Murphy International to offer world class soft skills training in retails, for even doctors, nurses and paramedics. It is already working with Australian Standards of Healthcare Standards (ACHS) to bring in world class quality management systems.
The MCC already has its website (http://www.manipalcureandcare.com) up and running. The site is just a skeleton I guess as lot of their modules are under construction. Looks like visitors would be able to buy/get-information about their products health insurance, eyecare, dental, derma, mother and baby care etc.
They also have an event calendar where they will provide valuable informational material, as well as offer special screening and advice related to the events of medical significance in India and the rest of the world being observed. For e.g Jun 5 to Jun 11 is Stroke Awareness Day and you will get information about this day here.
They also provide Wellness Vouchers which can be bought online and can be redeemed against services or products offered by MCC. Once you buy it online, MCC will courier the voucher to the shipping address mentioned by the person who bought it. once the voucher is received, the recipient can call up the phone number mentioned on the voucher to fix up an appointment.
Buying the voucher online is currenly under construction though. But once available, will be useful.

Updates: On August 3rd, Manipal Cure and Care has commenced its healthcare retail operations with the launch of its first Health and Wellness centre at the Himalaya Mall in Ahmedabad.
